I remember what I have received

Last week called us to shape the soul into a worthy sheath to form a garment for the soul. Like a caterpillar enclosing ourselves in a chrysalis, we wove light into a protective shield while we fashioned our wings to rise above this material world into the realms of the Spirit. Now with verse 19 we remember and safeguard what we have received, like sunflower seeds full of summer's glory. We must now carry these warm memories of summer's heights into the fall. The seeds of summer's spiritual gifts are then implanted in the earth through our actions.

Practice the Calendar verses to entrain with the rhythms of the seasons. Together, we will radiate these forces out into society through our moral words and deeds of brotherly love. Rudolf Steiner's verses for the 52 weeks of the calendar are here on our website, together with Rudolf Steiner's original German text and several other translations: Rudolf Steiner, The Anthroposophical Calendar.
