The Solar Power of the Soul
Last week, we felt the forces of the summer sun pressing down into our physical nature. We longed to become like a seed full of the gifts of the summer sun which work as the "power drive" of the soul. Now, through the power of the will, we realize we can be revitalized through this "solar power" of the soul.
Instead of the world-width outside, we experience the width of our own being filled with the forces of nature. As we work to raise our consciousness, we are no longer disappointed in our desires for someone or something outside of ourselves to change. We give up this hope in joyous exchange for our own empowerment through the Spirit growing within us. In this way, we gain a clearer understanding of the riddles of life.
Practice the Calendar verses to entrain with the rhythms of the seasons. Together, we will radiate these forces out into society through our moral words and deeds of brotherly love. Rudolf Steiner's verses for the 52 weeks of the calendar are here on our website, together with Rudolf Steiner's original German text and several other translations: Rudolf Steiner, The Anthroposophical Calendar.
