68. The Nature of Man

[ 1 ] On Tuesday, Dr. Rudolf Steiner, General Secretary of the Theosophical Society (Adyar), delivered his first lecture on “The Nature of Man.” The speaker described the connection between human beings and the rest of the world and outlined the human constitution in its fourfold nature: the physical, etheric, and astral bodies, along with self-consciousness—drawing a parallel to the structure of nature, which consists of the three kingdoms: the mineral, plant, and animal kingdoms. The speaker then moved from a more theoretical discussion to practical mysticism.
