15. On the Formation of the Cosmos
[ 1 ] Since theosophy speaks solely from its own experience, it proceeds from a single point of departure: our Logos. — The fact that people today refer to what they see as a “solar sphere” as the “sun” is a peculiarity of our materialistic age. As recently as six centuries ago, people said: “This is a body; and it includes a solar soul and a solar spirit.” The Spirit of the Sun is now the Logos; the physical body of the Sun is its lowest manifestation. What reigns within it is the Spirit. Imagine that the spiritual forces were connected to these. The Solar Atma would be the Solar Logos—and the other principles follow, down to the physical body, just as with us. —For the ancients, light was the body of a soul. - Human perfection of the intelligences is reduced to seven—the seven white brotherhoods; the seven spirits before the throne of God; the seven hierarchies—each a great spiritual body encompassing many cells. - The Seven Saints before the Lord are the one fundamental life of the cosmos. When the fourth round came, it was led by the Lord of Form, Yahweh.
[ 2 ] Among these seven are the other intelligences—the Lipikas are such exalted intelligences that they can or must be counted among the circle of “Do not touch me.” ... The angels veil their faces from the mystery of birth; they themselves have no insight into it.
[ 3 ] The seven Laya centers are the seven rows that form a solar system [...]: the “office” of the brotherhoods.
[ 4 ] The Leading Seven are therefore always the result of the white brotherhoods of the previous evolution. The Sun is the Sthula Sharira of the Logos.
